CDs

Craig Milverton - Piano, Sandy Suchodolski - Double Bass and Nigel Price - Guitar.

“This is our second recording together and it is very much in the same mould. We’ve taken inspiration from the great Peterson/Pass/Brown trio. The repertoire is broadly from the Great American Songbook with a couple of curve balls thrown in. All three of us love to groove and this unit and recording provides these things aplenty! We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Bruce Adams - Trumpet and Craig Milverton - Piano

Creating a project with Craig is something we’ve both talked about for years. The duo concept is not new but jazz musicians like it because of the flexibility it gives us.

You have to of course be playing with the right partner and I just wish we’d done it sooner. We had a ball and I hope you can tap into that.

Bruce Adams

I have long been an admirer of Bruce’s playing, his complete mastery, his soulful playing. Having had the pleasure of performing with him many times, it was a complete joy to record with him. A true Jazz Legend.

This recording is dedicated and also with gratitude to all my musician friends in THE UK whom i’ve had the pleasure to share the bandstand with and with thanks to the many Jazz venues that have presented me for many years in the UK and also to my fans here.

Last, but not least, to all of you who have made my tours a lot easier in many ways with your hospitality or transporting me to gigs. Thank you Craig, Nick and Sandy!

It was a fun 2 days of recording and hanging out together. Thank you Chris for your fine engineering and sound!

Jazz Piano Legends

Craig Milverton
To cover the history of jazz piano in a single concert could be viewed as impossible, but undaunted, Craig Milverton took on the challenge. It is a tribute to him that this recording contains every number he played that evening in it's entirety - no edits, no technical trickerey, just sheer talent.

Recorded live at The Lights Theatre, Andover, 25th April 2008.

Live at the Lights

Craig Milverton Quartet
"When I heard that Oscar Peterson had died on December 23rd 2007 by text from my friend cornettist Digby Fairweather, I was shocked and deeply saddened by the loss of my greatest jazz inspiration.

I first heard Oscar at 10 years of age, watching and marvelling at his brilliance on his BBC series of the late seventies. I was asked to do a tribute concert to Oscar and this is the result. Recorded at The Lights Theatre, Andover on 25th January 2008. I hope you enjoy it" Craig Milverton

Inspiration

Craig Milverton
Inspiration is my CD tribute to my Dad Graham, who sadly passed away in 2012.

He was a huge Jazz lover coming to many of my gigs and always supporting me from my earliest musical endeavours and throughout my career.

All these tracks are tunes he loved and the originals were written with him in mind, including the title track. He was my inspiration.
